Transition to My GCHR

Federal departments and agencies are adopting a standard configuration of version 9.1 of PeopleSoft called My GCHR. This initiative is helping the Government of Canada advance a new service delivery model for human resources, which takes advantage of economies of scale by standardizing and consolidating HR business processes and systems.

Sheil Communications developed a change management strategy to help her client manage the transition of employees to My GCHR. The strategy was informed by HR officials and non-HR executives who were interviewed about the change environment and key issues. The final strategy identified products and activities to ensure a smooth transition to the new application, including a detailed activity roll-out schedule.
